Chuck Randolph is a global security and intelligence executive, keynote speaker, and writer who helps leaders navigate converged risks and protect what matters most. He is co-founder of the SCIF Summit and the Close Protection Conference, and a frequent voice on the evolving threat landscape.

A noted strategist and communicator, Chuck hosts multiple podcasts—including Full Spectrum Risk and Conversations in Close Protection—and has appeared in national media such as SiriusXM. He publishes widely on executive threats, digital privacy, and protective intelligence, and his work bridges military, corporate, and venture communities to advance how organizations understand and manage risk in the modern era.

Previously, Chuck spent more than 20 years at Microsoft, where he led global executive protection, protective intelligence, and security operations. He later served in senior roles with an international security consulting firm. A decorated U.S. Army officer, he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after 30 years of service. As both a soldier and a security practitioner, he has operated in more than 56 countries and continues to champion veterans, leadership development, and a renaissance of security leadership.

Chuck is a founding member of the Corporate Executive Protection Leadership Council (CEPLC) and the International Protective Security Board (IPSB), a former board member of the Association of International Risk Intelligence Professionals (AIRIP), and currently chairs the Sam Houston State University Critical Infrastructure Research Forum (CIRF). He also serves on the U.S. State Department’s Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC).

He publishes Vigilia, a widely read Substack on the future of security leadership. Blending strategic insight with field experience, it challenges practitioners and executives to think differently about risk, intelligence, and resilience—part of his ongoing call for a renaissance of security leadership.
